Michael Vaughan OBE joins Challenge Himalayas 2018!
We are so excited to announce that Laureus Ambassador, Michael Vaughan OBE, former English cricketer will be trekking alongside us in the Northern Himalayas in March 2018.
Vaughan was ranked one of the best batsmen in the world following the Ashes in 2002/03. In December 2005, Vaughan and his team were awarded BBC Sports Personality of the Year Team Award.
Michael Vaughan states “I would like to say how excited I am that I will be taking part in Challenge Himalayas 2018 on behalf of Laureus Sport for Good in March next year. This is a fantastic initiative raising funds for Laureus projects in Hong Kong and India which are using sport to help children overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives.I am particularly delighted that we will be trekking in India, a country where I have a lot of cricketing friends and memories.Congratulations to the Just Challenge organisers, and on behalf of Laureus, I would like to thank you for supporting what I’m sure will be a once in a lifetime experience for all of us. I hope that many of you here today will sign up and I look forward to meeting you at base camp in March.”
