A once in a lifetime opportunity to join Michael Vaughan OBE and Victoria Pendleton CBE on a +460km cycle ride across Vietnam - all whilst raising money for those less fortunate than ourselves.
14 - 19 October 2019
For the second time this year, Just Challenge will team up with Laureus Sport for Good to deliver a challenge open to the public.
We’ll bring together inspirational people from around the world to take part in a +460km cycle ride from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang in Vietnam - an opportunity to jump on a bike, leave your comfort zone, rub shoulders with some of the world’s greatest sporting legends and support a global movement proving that sport has the power to change the world.
Entry cost is 1,995 GBP (including 5 nights accommodation, ground transfers, meals, experienced challenge leaders, medical support, vehicle/mechanical support and road bike rental). The challenge is open to all abilities but we strongly recommend training and a good level of fitness.
CYCLE CHALLENGE OF A LIFETIME. INTERNATIONAL SPORTS STARS. RAISING MONEY TO MAKE CHANGE
Vietnam | 4 Days Cycling | +460km
Arriving on Monday 14 October into Ho Chi Minh City* and setting off the following morning, Challenge Vietnam will see you cycle +460km over four days along the Vietnamese coast, climbing 1500m from sea level into the mountains, through pine forests and rice paddies and finally back down to some of the most beautiful beaches in Nha Trang*.
You will cycle in teams led by experienced guides, meeting the whole team in the evenings to reflect on the day’s cycling and prepare for the challenge ahead.
*Please note: You are responsible for your entry into the challenge and your own international flights - you will need to arrive into Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) and depart from Cam Ranh International Airport (Nha Trang).
This challenge is open to all abilities. Just Challenge will provide you with a bike - all we ask is that you bring your own helmet.
Each participant will be tasked with raising funds for Laureus Sport for Good.
Laureus Sport for Good uses sport to reduce the impact of violence, conflict and discrimination, to enhance social and emotional development, to inspire healthy behaviour change and to increase educational achievements and employability skills. In 2018, nearly 300,000 young people from all over the world directly benefited from more than 160 Laureus Sport for Good supported programmes, run by grassroots organisations which are deeply embedded in their local communities and understand how to use sport to overcome the hurdles faced by local youth.
"I’m thrilled to be taking part in the Laureus Cycle Challenge Vietnam 2019. Laureus Sport for Good is a cause very close to my heart and I can’t wait to meet all participants in October and take part in a challenging experience for a good cause. It’s going to be an experience of a lifetime alongside fellow Laureus Ambassador Victoria Pendleton and the funds raised will truly help change the lives of young people around the world."
Michael Vaughan, OBE | Former English Cricket Captain
